Teddy bear 28 PB 1904, is 28 cm in size (sitting)/40 cm (standing), is 5-way jointed, is wood wool stuffed, made from antique white colored mohair with a delicate apricot backing and is limited to 904 issues.

The designation "28 PB", 28 indicates the size of the bear (28 cm = measured sitting), P=plush and B=beweglich, the German word for jointed. This replica is without the original metal rod fixture, that was used to make head/arms/legs movable, for reasons related to the production process. It was replaced by the now used disc joints. One of the rare remaining originals came under the hammer at the special auction held during the 5th Steiff Festival on 30th June 2001 and fetched the tidy sum of 36,000 DM. He has a handmade sealing wax nose, black wooden eyes and hand-stitched claws with black yarn.
