When the original Steiff “Harlequin” bear, which was believed to be an un-produced prototype, was offered for sale more than a decade ago at a famous auction house, the world gasped when the Teddy sold for just under $75,000. The bear was distinguished not only for its price, but because of its unique design a red, blue, and yellow harlequin pattern. He has foot and paw pads out of biobased Alcantra-Leather and features the distinctive ‘’Teddies for tomorrow’’ stainless steel chest tag. 

He is issued in the series Teddies for tomorrow and comes in a collectors box with certificate of authenticity.
